The two images above are live Facebook feeds from 'Birchbox'. You can see from these images that people are discussing, in the comment section, the products that the ladies in the video are talking about. Also, in the second image you can see how many views the video has had, this video has 25000 + views, this is another type of date from the comments & can also be used in an interesting way.
Blockers from this method is that Birchbox is obviously a major company and already has a vast amount of followers, if we were to use this method we would have to advertise our event. Facebook itself can assist as a tool and twitter can also be useful too. Twitter enables us to use the #hashtag feature as a link for following.
Facebook Live has a feature where you can search the most popular watched Facebook
when you click on a video you can see an animated, graphical map of where the video is being viewed. This is a useful feature as it has allowed us to look at the most popular videos, the videos that are being watched the most internationally and we are able to identify what makes the video most popular.
Something that was discussed within the group and in our tutorials was if it mattered if the discussion was broadcasted worldwide or if it was more specific to Huddersfield & Yorkshire. We decided that it would be interesting to see what came of the live discussions and that the results may be different depending on how far the live feed reached. One of the things we noticed from this research was that people were more likely to tune in if there was free giveaways or exciting announcements & celebrities.
