Initial Website Designs

After consulting the group on Wednesday with my initial design we agreed on a specification which included;

  • Not to use drop down menus, as the group decide it could confuse people with little experience with the internet.

  • Use a feature image, as it creates a nice first impression for the users.

  • Use a scrolling page with the majority of information on the homepage.

Whilst with the group I decide that we should agree on what tabs they want within the menu, this was divided into;

  • About

  • This would include information about the Exhibition, Artists and Visiting the Exhibition.

  • News

  • Concentrating on recent activities at the exhibtion.

  • Upcoming Events

  • So users could see what events they could visit.

  • Home

  • Instead of just linking to the homepage through the logo we decide to add this for people with less experience on the internet.

  • Archive

  • This will contain documentation of the events that happened at the exhibition however, this will not be in the header menu it will be held in the footer of the website.
