Website UX Corrections

After testing the website using methods research about UX website design (Evidenced in Personal Blog), I started to fix as many of the problems found for UX testing, to finalise the website. The majority of the problems were able to be corrected however, there was some that couldn’t be changed. The problems that I corrected included:

  • Adding a title for location on the About page.

  • Correct spelling and grammar mistakes.

  • Slow down slideshows to make it easier to read.

  • Make body text larger to make it easier to read.

  • Box align text for better aesthetics.

  • Move Archive button to menu bar.

  • Stop overlaying scrolling logo.

The only problem I couldn’t correct was the “adding a map to the location section,” the reasoning for this was that after adding this map it affected the whole layout of the homepage and would mean redesigning the majority of the homepage. Which in turn would require me to do some more user testing after, making it time consuming and not that effective.
